Introducing ExpoHealthNet: Joining forces to tackle environmental pollution and climate change impacts on health

We are delighted to announce the launch of ExpoHealthNet — a collaborative cluster of cutting-edge research projects united by a shared mission: addressing the growing challenges posed by environmental pollution and climate change on human health.

ExpoHealthNet brings together seven pioneering Horizon Europe projects:

  • UPRISE

  • MARKOPOLO

  • ENACT

  • ENVESOME

  • ExpoSignalz

  • EXPOSIM

  • ClimAIr

Together, these projects explore the complex relationships between environmental stressors, such as air pollution, noise, hazardous waste and climate change and the development and progression of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including respiratory, cardiovascular, and immune-mediated conditions.

Why ExpoHealthNet?

The cluster’s primary goal is to optimise synergies, prevent duplication of efforts, and amplify the collective impact of each project by fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. By joining forces, we aim to:

  • Generate robust scientific evidence on environmental drivers of health.

  • Develop innovative tools and solutions for research and policy.

  • Support informed policy-making to create healthier environments across Europe.

Through these combined efforts, ExpoHealthNet seeks to improve public health outcomes and help shape a more sustainable and resilient future.

Stay connected as we share updates, insights, and milestones from this exciting journey towards healthier environments and communities across Europe!
