A collaborative cluster on the role of environmental pollution in non-communicable diseases: air, noise and light and hazardous waste pollution.
To maximise synergies, prevent overlaps and enhance impact, seven Horizon Europe projects form a collaborative cluster – ExpoHealthNet. The ExpoHealthNet cluster unites cutting-edge research projects set to investigate how environmental stressors contribute to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as respiratory, cardiovascular, and immune-mediated conditions. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, ExpoHealthNet aims to drive impactful research on the health risks of air pollution, noise, hazardous waste, and climate change.

From busy streets and railways to aircraft traffic, environmental noise surrounds us daily. But how much do we really know about its impact on our health? The EXPOSIM project invites everyone to explore this topic through its interactive SoundCheck Quiz, designed to raise awareness about noise pollution and its effects on human health.
