Gerardo Sanchez

Environment and Health Expert European Environment Agency, Copenhagen

His work examines environmental and social determinants of health, environmental burden of disease, and prevention policies. Previously, he held positions at UNEP DTU Partnership, WHO, the World Bank, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, working across the USA, Japan, Peru, and Germany. He holds a PhD in Health Economics and an MPH (Fulbright scholar).

Lang Tran

Principal Toxicologist and Head at Toxicology Institute of Occupational Medicine, Edinbrgh

His research addresses the health effects of airborne particles, nanomaterials, and workplace chemical exposures, with emphasis on mechanistic and translational toxicology. He has contributed to major UK and EU programmes on particle toxicology, exposure science, and advanced hazard assessment, and is widely recognised for his expertise in nanomaterial safety and evidence-based worker protection.

Jolanta Walusiak-Skorupa

Director of the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łódź

Her work centres on occupational allergies, worker health protection, and the health effects of environmental and workplace exposures. She is Vice-President for Education & Specialty at EAACI and President of the Polish Society of Occupational Medicine. Before becoming Director in 2020, she led major national and EU projects on workplace health promotion and return-to-work programmes, and she represents Poland in the UEMS Section of Occupational Medicine. She is also Editor-in-Chief of Medycyna Pracy.

Agis Tsouros

Senior Policy Adviser to the World Health Organization

His work focuses on intersectoral governance, social and environmental determinants of health, and sustainable urban development. He is Adjunct Professor of Global Health at Boston University and chairs the Scientific Committee for the Public Health Action Plan at the Bodossaki Foundation. He previously held leadership roles at WHO/Europe and in the Greek public health system, and continues to advise governments, cities, and international organisations.

Robert Barouki

toxicologist and molecular biologist at Inserm and the University of Paris

He leads research on environmental health, chemical risk assessment, and molecular links between pollution and chronic disease, particularly endocrine disruptors, metabolic disorders, and climate-related health effects. He has directed major French and EU research programmes and served as adviser to national and international bodies and is recognized for advancing evidence-based environmental health and integrating toxicology with public health and climate science.
