The Bordeaux Exposome Symposium brings together leading scientists and trainees interested in integrating environmental exposures into research on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (AD/ADRD). Taking place from the 17th to the 19th of June 2026, at the University of Bordeaux, France, the event aims to foster new collaborations between environmental health, exposomics, and AD/ADRD research communities across Europe, the United States, and beyond.
The Symposium is organised by the faculty from the Institute for Exposomic Research and the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York), the University of Bordeaux, and the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM). Additional partners include EIRENE, IHEN, NEXUS and GECC.
Poster submissions are invited on research related to exposomics, environmental health, and/or Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
Travel awards are available for graduate students, residents, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty (within 3 years of appointment) who are presenting a poster.
The deadlines for the event are as follows:
- 9th January 2026 – Early Bird Registration Deadline
- 30th January 2026 – Travel Award Application & Early Poster Abstract Submission Deadline
- 20th February 2026 – Travel Award Notifications Sent
- 24th April 2026 – Final Poster Submission Deadline for All Other Presenters
