Working Group 4: AI, Modelling, Tools & Methodologies

Working Group (WG) 4 focuses on coordinating AI tools, modelling approaches, and computational methodologies developed across the ExpoHealthNet cluster. Led by CLIMAIR, ENVESOME and UPRISE, the group plays a key role in ensuring that analytical tools and models are aligned, interoperable and reusable across projects.

Rather than developing new tools from scratch, WG4 works to map, align and facilitate the reuse of existing tools, supporting a shared ecosystem that avoids duplication and fragmentation. This enables more efficient use of resources and strengthens the scientific and technical integration of the cluster.

WG4 objectives:

Key activities Target audience
Mapping and alignment of tools: WG4 identifies and documents existing tools, models and methodologies developed within the cluster to support reuse and avoid duplication.

Interoperability and integration: The group promotes compatibility between tools and datasets, enabling cross-project collaboration and integrated analyses.

Support for modelling and analytics: WG4 facilitates the development and use of predictive models, decision-support tools and analytical pipelines across projects.

Knowledge exchange and coordination: Regular meetings and exchanges enable partners to share approaches, align methodologies and strengthen collaboration across the cluster.
✔ Researchers and data scientists within ExpoHealthNet projects
✔ Developers of AI tools and modelling frameworks
✔ Public health analysts and research infrastructures
✔ EU initiatives focused on data integration and digital health

WG4 functions as a coordination platform bringing together technical and modelling leads from across the cluster. Through regular exchanges, the group supports alignment of methodologies, promotes shared standards and ensures that tools developed within ExpoHealthNet can be effectively reused and scaled across projects and beyond.
